Nairobi Legal Awards: A Momentous Milestone for MMC Asafo

On Friday, November 22, 2024, Nairobi’s legal fraternity gathered at the Nairobi Legal Awards 7th Edition, aptly named The Uadilifu Edition. “Uadilifu,” a Swahili term for integrity, set the tone for an evening dedicated to celebrating exemplary legal professionals and institutions committed to excellence and ethical practice.

For MMC Asafo, this journey began in August with nominations in two prestigious categories: Commercial Practitioner of the Year and Large Law Firm of the Year. The process was rigorous, and as nominees, we embarked on a path of self-reflection and growth. The assessment tools provided by the Nairobi Legal Awards Trust not only highlighted areas of improvement but also underscored the accomplishments we often take for granted.

As the months unfolded, interviews and evaluations brought clarity and perspective, culminating in a night of recognition. We are immensely proud to announce that MMC Asafo was recognized as 1st Runners-Up in the Large Law Firm of the Year category and 2nd Runners-Up in the Commercial Practitioner of the Year category, an accolade awarded to our Managing Partner, Esther Omulele.

This recognition holds special significance. While MMC Asafo has garnered accolades on global platforms like Legal 500, Chambers & Partners, and IFLR1000,Managing IP stars, and has seen our founding partner reach the finals at the Africa Legal Awards, being celebrated on home soil by our Kenyan peers is truly humbling and gratifying.
